Woman robbed in Concord store parking lot while taking child out of car seat CONCORD — A mother escaped with only minor injuries after a man robbed her while she was removing her child from a car seat, police said.The child was not physically injured.The robbery happened about 3 p.m. on Friday in the parking lot of the Park N Shop in the 1700 block of Willow Pass Road.Concord police Lt. Robert Garcia in a statement said the woman was removing her child from the rear car seat when a man tried to grab her purse. The two struggled for a bit, before the suspect punched the woman and fled with the purse, Garcia said.He got into a black SUV and drove off on Willow Pass Road, Garcia said. Officers responded to a commercial burglary shortly after 1:41 a.m. Friday, police said.Three suspects broke into Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup, which is located at 217 W. Calaveras Boulevard, and stole a safe. Police declined to disclose how much money was in the safe at the time.
