Oakland man charged with robbing in-care boarding home, killing patient OAKLAND — A city resident has been charged with murder, robbery, and gun possession in the Sept. 10 shooting death of a 57-year-old in-care boarding home patient, court records show.Terri Maurice Perry, 30, of Oakland, was charged with murdering 57-year-old Alphonso Clark, robbing the home where Clark lived with his caregiver, and two felony counts of illegal gun possession, court records show. His arraignment has been set for Tuesday.Perry was identified through surveillance video and other evidence, then confessed when he was arrested on Sept. 27, police said.Clark was shot and killed Sept. 10, inside a home on the 1700 block of 11th Street in Oakland. Oakland fire spreads to 3 homes in Eastmont Hills (KRON) -- A fire burning in Oakland on Monday has spread to involve three homes, the Oakland Fire Department said. The fire began as a one-acre grass fire on the 3000 block of Parker Avenue in Oakland's Eastmont Hills neighborhood. It has since grown to involve three homes and has been upgraded to a two-alarm fire, OFD said. Search resumes after possible shark attack at Point Reyes (KRON) -- A search effort resumed Monday afternoon for a man who went missing in the ocean after friends said they saw a shark in the water.A 52-year-old man was swimming with two friends on Sunday when he disappeared off Wildcat Beach at Point Reyes National Seashore, according to the National Park Service. Friends of the missing man reported to authorities that a shark was seen in the area, along with blood in the water where their friend was last seen. 1 killed, 2 injured in Hayward shooting (KRON) -- Three people were shot, one of them fatally, Monday morning in Hayward, the city's police department said. Police responded to the area of B Street and Alice Street just after 2 p.m. for the report of a shooting. Before officers arrived, one of the victims called police to say he was taking them all to a hospital. Another Oakland business to close, citing ‘rising crime’ A 43-year-old Redwood City man died from his injuries at the hospital. A 44-year-old Hayward man and a 32-year-old Alameda man were shot as well. Both of the victims who survived the shooting have non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The Alameda resident was the victim who reported the shooting to police. At B Street and Alice Street, police found evidence of a shooting. Nobody has been arrested for the shooting as of Monday afternoon.
