COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — President Joe Biden fell on stage at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation Thursday and the White House said he was “fine” after tripping over a sandbag.Biden had been greeting the graduates in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the front of the stage with salutes and handshakes, and turned to jog back toward his seat when he fell. He was helped up by an Air Force officer as well as two members of his U.S. Secret Service detail. (KDVR) — Police were searching Thursday afternoon for an inmate who escaped from the Adams County jail in Brighton.The inmate, Jared Sheppard, is described as a white man with brown hair and blue eyes. He stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 165 pounds, according to the Brighton Police Department. Sheppard, 39, was last seen wearing an orange and white striped jumpsuit with shackles. (KDVR) — A Brighton teacher experienced an incredible case of lost and found when she went back to her alma mater.Melissa Brassington showed up at Brighton High School nearly 22 years after her graduation to train as a substitute teacher. What she found surprised her."I was like, 'Where did you get this jacket?'" she said before being told "'It’s been on display for quite a while here.'"The cherry red letterman jacket is decorated with all sorts of honors, from cross country and track to a gold class of 2000 pin. Demolition crews began dismantling what was left of a more than century-old home in Brockton Thursday, hours after a fire devoured the home and spread to a building next door. Two suspects are wanted after attacking a man in downtown Boston with a machete. The incident took place around Tremont Street and Temple Place on Tuesday, May 23 around 9 a.m.The adult male victim was seriously injured but is expected to survive.
